ADMISSION REGULATIONS – B.P.E.S
Intake, Eligibility and Admission Procedure
Intake:
There shall be a basic unit of 50 (Fifty) students for each year.
Eligibility:
a) Age: – Not completed 21 years as on 1st July. – For SC / ST 3 years
relaxation is given.
b) Qualification: A pass in +2 in the 10+2 pattern.
c) Represented the School in any Sport / Game.
d) Medically fit without any deformity
Mode of Application: ONLINE
The Application form should be accompanied by photo copies of the following.
1. 10th Mark Statement
2. 12th Mark Statement
3. School representation in a Sport/Game
4. Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate
5. Community Certificate
6. Aadhar Card
7. Medical Fitness certificate from a Government Medical Officer in the
prescribed format.
8. A self – addressed envelope with Rs.10/- value postal stamp.
Selection Tests:
Admission shall be made on the basis of ranking for a total of 150 marks as detailed below:-

Admission Procedure:
Admission shall be made on merit on the basis of marks obtained in the entrance examination (written test, fitness test, interview and percentage in qualifying examination) or any other selection process as per the policy of the State Government /Affiliating University.
Admission Regulations – B.P.Ed
Intake, Eligibility and Admission Procedure
Intake:
There shall be a basic unit of 100 (One Hundred) students with two sections of 50 (Fifty) each.
Eligibility:
a) Age: Not completed 30 years as on 1st July
For SC / ST not completed 33 years as on 1st July
b) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and having at least participation in the inter College/Inter Zonal/ District/School Competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/ SGFI/Govt. of India.
Or
c) Bachelor’s degree in physical education with 45% of marks
Or
d) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% of marks and studied physical education as compulsory/elective subject
Or
e) Bachelor’s degree with 45% of marks and having participated in National/Inter University/State Competitions or secured 1st, 2nd or 3rd position Inter College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India
Or
f) Bachelor’s degree with participation in international competitions or secured 1st, 2nd, or 3rd position in National/Inter-University competition in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/ AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India
Or
g) Graduation with 45% marks and at least three years of teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates i.e., trained physical education teachers/coaches)
The relaxation in the percentage of marks in the qualifying examination and in the reservation of seats for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government / State Government whichever is applicable.

ADMISSION REGULATIONS – M.P.Ed
Intake, Eligibility and Admission Procedure
Intake
There shall be a basic unit of 40 (Forty) students for each year
Eligibility
a) Not completed 35 years as on 1st July
For SC / ST not completed 38 years as on 1st July
b) Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed) or equivalent with at least 50% of marks
Or
c) The reservation in seats and relaxation in the qualifying marks for SC/ST/OBC and other categories shall be as per the rules of the Central Government/State Government whichever is applicable

TAMIL NADU PHYSICAL EDUCATION AND SPORTS UNIVERSITY
M. Phil – Physical Education
Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)
Regulations:
The CBCS for the one year M. Phil Degree Programme will be implemented from the academic year 2008 – 09.
1. Eligibility for Admission
A Candidate shall be admitted to the M. Phil degree in Physical Education if he / she produces satisfactory evidence that he / she has successfully completed Master’s Degree in Physical Education (M. P. Ed) or its equalant Degree approved by the syndicate of the Tamilnadu Physical Education and Sports University, Chennai.
2. Course of Study
The duration of M.Phil program shall be two semesters (1 Year). A student should complete the M. Phil program within three years after registration.
3. Semesters
An academic year is consisting of two semesters.
First Semester | – | July to November |
Second Semester | – | December to April |
In each semester, the courses are taught for 18 weeks with each week having 5 working days with a minimum of 4 contact hours per day.
4. Choice Based Credit System (CBCS)
The CBCS in M. Phil programme would have the following components and the minimum credit requirement for each component to be completed in one year are:-

5. Course Weight:
Courses will be designed with weightage depending upon the content, duration, and specialization.
